Challenges

The problem

Freight is run on phone calls and spreadsheets: choosing a transporter, agreeing a rate, tracking a vehicle, proving delivery and reconciling the freight bill each live in a different place.

Architecture

Shape of the system

  • Laravel API (/api/v1) with a uniform {success, data, message, meta} envelope, multi-tenant scoping and role permissions.
  • Vue 3 + TypeScript single-page client with a themeable design system.
  • Tracking: device-authenticated location ingestion, current-state and history tables, geofences with enter/exit events, and a public signed-URL tracking page for customers.
  • Business rules, real-time channel design and an implementation plan are documented in-repo.
